Goodwill is close to HD and Home Depot is my home away from home!
Several years back I stopped in GW before going to HD to poke around. Picked up a clock that I new was worth a heck of a lot more than $7.00. Researched it and found them on ebay between $400. and $700. depending on condition. So if I'm in the area I stop and give a quick look. Some times the finds are pretty darn amazing.
Today I find a nice rollaround cabinet with 6 drawers in very good condition. Small dent in the top was quickly removed with a couple wooden blocks and added a laminated pine top. Half hours work and a little cleaning and moved it right next to the mill for my cutters and misc tooling. $12.99 and senior discount of 20% and it came to ten and change.
Also picked up a glass curio cabinet which is in the garage and will get cleaned and refinished when time permits. It will be a great reel display!
I really need another project. ;D ;D

Looks great, Lou --
Some of the best things for our shops can come from second hand and thrift places.
The key is knowing how something can be used, or re-purposed -- and you know how.
Best,
