Title: 20N Commander by PENN/WFT - anyone got a schematic for this reel?
Post by: Jon_Kol on March 24, 2016, 02:56:33 PM
Hi!

I'm trying to help someone locate a schematic for the reel mentioned in the topic. Does anyone have the schematic, or have a suggestion as to where to find it? I couldn't find much via Google and/or this forum.

If someone has the schematic, it would be great if it could be shared here.

Not sure if this is what you are looking for. Still no Schematic.

That is of course a discontinued reel from Penn.

Was made for the UK & Australian markets.

I would try this link in Victoria, Aus:

http://www.anglerscentral.com.au/penn-commander-pro-20lw-30lw.html

If contacted directly, they may have a schematic available -- or the ability to scan an old insert from a reel box.

Not sure what you are trying to accomplish, Jon -- the parts inside are standard Penn parts -- the exterior parts due to the radical design -- will be tough to find anyway.

Last resort suggestion would be to find an extra reel for parts -- one may even get lucky enough to find an owners manual inside a box with a schematic.  If found, I have had luck with the seller just photocopying and sending to me.

Also, Tony or Ed at Penn headquarters should also be able to assist.

Plus, just be patient -- and someone on here may have a schematic...

Best,

Fred

Hi, thanks for your comment.

As mentioned in my post, I'm just trying to help a guy who's looking for a schematic to this reel. I have no idea if there's anything wrong with his reel, or if he just feels safer having a schematic with him when opening the reel for service - I just like helping people out when I can.

I'll pass your suggestions to him, maybe he'll be lucky and find someone who has what he's looking for.

Thanks!

Only place i have ever seen those reels was in Finland, maybe twelve years ago. I seem to recall having seen a schematic, but that was also a long time ago.

Here's the link to Penn UK Service Center. There's multiple contact info for multiple people; one may be able to help with the schematic you look for.
