That Is about as bad as Powder coating can get.
I can't see the sense in showing 20 reels when you are only selling one reel and you want top dollar. Would really make the buyer think he's NOT getting a great deal.

I actually saw one of those sell for the full $1000. Same seller. I know because I was checking Ebay's sold listings daily when I was selling mine. I wanted to gauge what they were going for.

I've seen NOS 16/0 go for close to 2 grand, so a thousand bucks isn't all that far fetched, but it would have to be especially nice or very rare model.

I asked him what kind of aftermarket bearings where in there. He didn't know.... Claimed he was selling it for a friend. Got back to me, still couldn't find out.
I asked where the Accurate reel clamp was..... He doesn't know. According to the pics, I see no reel clamp....
I asked what kind of line was on there.... Doesn't know but it's worth $200.
Custom made handle...... I see the stock handle.
$1700 price tag.

The fishing community is a small world, and the person you are bashing could be a member here, or just some guy down on his luck, or just starting out in their craft.

4. Proactive - All reels are not perfect for every single person. Reel companies are in the business to make money, and every company has to decide on what is considered acceptable quality, reliability,... If reel companies made a perfect reel, how many of us would pay the price? That is why we are here, to help you maintain and upgrade your reels from DIY to repair professionals to manufacturing representatives. If you find a problem with your reel, focus on the problem, and how it could be fixed. Bashing because of where it's from, who made it,...does no one any good as others out there may have the same reel, and are searching for solutions or upgrades. For example, when I first met Alan, I brought over my first lever drag reel. It's a Pfleuger Contender. Graphite frame, and cost me $75. He took it apart and showed me the benefits my lever drag reel, which, by the way, included a carbon fiber drag washer (cool, for a $75 reel). He also provided me with areas of concerns, such as dry drag washer, ungreased bearings, and so forth.
I'm sure you can figure out the rest.
So, if your posting is deleted, revised, and get a warning from any of our Moderators/Administrators, please don't get offended. They are maintaining the level of standard as indicated.

On the other hand it's nice to see buyer beware ebay information.
I tried buying a Harrell blank from someone on ebay only to have months of grief and retracting my card purchase.
Would have been nice to see a sticky on the subject of questionable deals.
Transparency is the key regardless of who the seller is.
The poor noob who makes a bad purchase may forever abstain and that's a greater shame.
Many look to this site for helpful information.
