Not sure if this is just one sleeve that came out this way?but I've had others like this and had no problems with them anyone else have problems like this?
Ive been using my files a lot with these customer parts. I guess that's what's making it fun ;D
Is that you 112H 3/0 reel? Did you have any problems sliding the main gear on?
Keith
This is for my 65. Gear slips right on so do the eared washers. ???
I do not have a file that will fit in the Square of the washer
The early sleeves were all over the place, I have a couple of those myself. I'm guessing different machinists.
Doesn't take much for them to be off.
I will check another SS sleeve today.
It's a tolerance issue. I personally never had issues with washers, but the spacer sleeve was tight on some.
This happens when you try to make custom parts too perfect...not a bad thing, but as in this case parts will need a little fine-tuning.

Chainsaw file works for me.

Jamie,
Is that on of my drag washers?

No Bryan i put your kit in my other 65. These are stock. I did try one of yours and it did not fit ether.
You may need to file down the washers or gear sleeve, unfortunately.
Would the fact that it is an older brass metal washer be the issue?
I just checked my last SS 98-60 gear sleeve. The newer SS metal washers do fit easily. The brass ones fit too but are tighter. Also make sure the securing pin is not sticking out at all.
Keith
If you want this one I'll trade you back.
Sounds good Keith I will put it in the mail tomorrow with some $.
