Title: Custom Part Handle Lock (Penn 12/0)
Post by: wsenti on April 17, 2016, 06:44:35 PM
Has anyone seen this custom part before? This reel was for sale a short time ago in South Florida.

Any thoughts? I would love to have this lock to go over the handle nut.

I've seen that setup on a China 115L2, but not on a 12/0.

The handle & lock is from a Penn International.

So If I wanted the lock I could just buy the one used for a Penn International and put on my Penn 12/0?

I'm not familiar with the crossover of Penn International's and parts of Senators.

Appreciate the help.

Scotts has a very good cross reference for handles. When looking for a particular handle it will tell you what additional reels it will fit. It usually mentions the fact if your reel is not listed in the group, it wont fit.

Parts #110A-050 for Int T models. Easily done on the cheap with existing handle.
You will need to drill and tap the handle. Or buy a handle, which are 2 times the cost.

I just put on a Tiburon aftermarket handle, so maybe it's unnecessary amount of work..just curious would be nice if not too hard to do.
