Title: Kick levers
Post by: TimH on March 04, 2011, 06:34:33 AM
I have a Quantum US300 that has a damaged kick lever. There is an indention where the ratchet made contact with it. Only problem it was made in 98 so the parts are no longer available. Is there a way that you would suggest trying to fix it?

it's like the ambassaduer kick levers.  you've got metal against metal.  i was thinking of a spot weld, then grind it down to shape, but it might not hold.  a stainless steel insert like the one in the revo might be the only answer.  ughhh!

Difficult to repair as the material may be pot metal cast and plated. In desperation drill and tap and epoxy a small stainless screw in place  where the gouge is. When set grind back to shape. You will have a piece of stainless where the most wear is happening. I have this issue with the CABO PT and for now it seems to be holding up.
