Title: The Reel Restorer
Post by: cbar45 on May 16, 2016, 01:46:30 AM
In the early 2000's there was a fellow with a business titled the same as this thread.

He specialized in restoring vintage Penn reels, mostly Spinfisher 700 series.

I cannot seem to find his contact info, does anyone know if he is still in business, and if so how can he be reached?

Thanks in advance.

Chad

If it's the guy I'm thinking of-a professional chef-he passed away a few years back.

From another site I gathered that The Reel Restorer's name is Chuck and he last did business in 2009.

If that is the same individual then his passing is unfortunate--the examples of his work were exceptional.

I was thinking about sending in some reels to be painted, but never got around to it.
