Title: Stradic FJ 3000 problem
Post by: mudgecko63 on May 16, 2016, 10:36:21 AM
I had the rotor nut come loose and almost come off completely on my Shimano Stradic 3000FJ. Is this a common problem? I noticed that this reel doesn't have a screw to prevent this. I also have a Stradic 1000FJ and it too doesn't have the retaining screw. What has been the common fix for this. I rang Shimano Australia, and really didn't have much in the way of a solution apart tightening the nut up again, piss poor service and no fix for the problem. Thanks.

Maybe a little blue Loctite, not the red stuff.

The rotor nuts without the lock screw tighten counterclockwise. I guess the engineers figured it wouldn't come loose.
