Title: Alans modified Daiwa sealine 900
Post by: Tennshark on June 18, 2016, 02:31:51 AM
Hello everyone. I just caught my largest land based shark with my trusty Daiwa Sealine 900 that Alan prepared for me. It was a lemon shark that was at least 8 feet long and had to be close to 300 pounds. It was very heavy and had to pull him across two sanbars at low tide. Kicked my butt. The 900 worked wonderfully. Could never have done it without Alans drag upgrade and handle. Thank you Alan.

We were fishing at St George Island, Florida. The wind was fairly high much of the week which made it difficult to kayak baits out but I managed to get a few out and got lucky.  Thanks

This Guy has his priority's in order.
Notice the bolt cutters and gloves hanging on the pvc.
That is how you do it.
Get that Monster swimming away as fast as possible.
Congrats on your wife helping.
You Sir are my Hero! ;D

Sharks and crocs on the beach, that is a dangerous place!

Now that I've gotten that dad joke out of the way (I couldn't resist), can you share what you spooled the 900 with? I've got an eye out for one for the exact same reason, just doing my homework!

Cheers,
Andrew

Sorry took so long, been swamped at work. What I get for taking vacation I guess. My 900 has approx 500 yds of 100 pound power pro braid with a top shot approximately 250 yds of of #80 sufix tritanium. Hope this helps.

Hey great photos, send more about the baits, and the kayak to set them out from shore.  Do they sink, float?  is it mostly at nite when the shark come in close to shore?  Waay cool.   thanks  ???
