Here is a nice pair of reels for fishing poppers for medium-size game fish (up to 100 lbs. or even heavier if you can chase 'em).
The first is a Shimano Saragosa SW8000
Braid line capacity 40/340,50/265,65/215
Gear Ratio: 5.6:1
Line retrieve per crank: 42"
Weight: 22 oz.
The second is a Shimano Baitrunner 8000D
Braid line capacity 40/295,50/290,65/180 20
Gear Ratio: 4.8:1
Line retrieve per crank: 36"
Weight: 21.7 oz.
Both are in very lightly used condition, 9 or better on 10 scale, and both have reversible handles so they will fish left or right hand crank.
The Saragosa SW8000 is $289 plus shipping at Bass Pro Shops. My price is $195 plus shipping at the actual cost of postage.
The Baitrunner 8000D is $189 plus shipping at Bass Pro Shops. My price is $115 plus shipping at the actual cost of postage.
I ship worldwide and accept payments by Paypal, cash, livestock, etc.
If you can use both of them, I will sell them for $295 and pay for the shipping by Priority Mail with tracking or FedEx Ground to anywhere in the USA including Hawaii and Alaska.
Thanks,
Randy
Is the body and cover graphite on the Baitrunner, like on my old one(6500B)? It's got a real bad torque movement on the stem when I put some serious drag pressure on it.

The Baitrunner 8000D frame is graphite. The Saragosa frame is aluminum.
Is the Saragosa manual bail?

Is the Saragosa manual bail?
Yes, the Saragosa SW8000 has a manual bail. I believe that most if not all of the high end Shimano saltwater spinning reels have manual bails. I know that the big Stellas are all manual.
