Just got some fresh Axis Deer Venison from Lanai and thought I'd make a Stew in the crockpot.

That looks awesome. Is it as lean as regular venison?

It appears to be, though I must confess.. I have never butchered an Axis Deer.

Gonna go downstairs and pull out some good'ol Whitetail venison.
