Title: Cortez CZ-5CS
Post by: bgreen on July 13, 2016, 03:33:52 AM
Looking at servicing my Cortez CZ-5CS and wondering if there are any guides on here or any pitfalls for this reel i need to look out for.  In looking at the schematics it looks similar to the Cedros 10s which i also have and i see there is also a tutorial walkthru for the Cortez CZ-55W on here.  Any advise or pointers would be appreciated.

Cheers Bruce

Hello, two points that come to mind:

1. Handle knob screw is left-hand thread, turn right to loosen.

2. Eccentric is prone to corrosion. Grease well, or replace if necessary.

Hopefully others will have more to add.
