Post by: whalebreath on September 13, 2016, 01:34:18 AM
Head from a 15# White Spring Salmon I caught over the weekend-hadn't made fish soup with Salmon head for ages but this was good-not too strong but spicy.

Salmon Cheeks! Absolutely delicious-like a mild  Salmon flavoured Scallop

Post up all your ingredients so we can try this recipe.  It looks darn appetizing and I been wasting heads for far to long.

There are countless youtube vids that can help-all I can add is to rinse the fish head like crazy- 5 minutes under a cold tap isn't too much also you need a small sharp knife to remove all the gill matter first.
