Good looking fish Bill.
Is that your Fat Boy in the background? I don't see rod holders :)
Enjoy that Salmon!...Good job!
Nawww, the bike belongs to the boat owner....sorry you didn't get one this year Lee....passed out salmon to the other residents at the Redneck Condo complex and still have 5 lbs to take home to momma....hoping to add another fish or three before the season ends in December...rumor is Riverangler (Ralph) has really been putting on a hurt to the population.....hope he leaves some for us upriver... ;D. Bill
Nice fish Bill :)
Very nice fish! Bill, so far I've hooked 3 and landed 2. The third one was a big cow that broke my leader at the boat. I had salmon for dinner last nite. :)
Ralph
Y'all lucky, we don't even know what Salmon are down here.
Nice fish!
The only salmon we have in Florida is at the grocery store. Bummer. We do have ultra mini halibut sort of.
Nice Fish Bill! ;)
Bill nice. When does the season close on the river? Dominick
Dominick, I believe it ends on Dec 31st, but you wouldn't want to eat them that late in the season because they have turned grey inside and outside. I usually stop fishing for them after halloween.

Thank you for the kind words....I noticed a lot of last year's fish had pale flesh....so far from what I've seen all have been nice "salmon colored" ;D flesh....but have only seen the insides of three (1 mine, 2 a buddy's) Bill
Last year the water temp was still in the 70' when they came up. It's too hot for them and they change color quicker. On Sunday, the water temp at Veirra's was 65.5, which is great. we should be catching chromers for a while.

Steve we can talk about this on Wednesday but I am all about hooking up for some drifting or shore fishing.
Jt
River Angler yes on the hook ups. Going for striper tonight at Rio Vista. Been hearing they are getting some nice ones. Hard for me to add pictures 1 arm is tough.
Boy howdy, you couldn't prove that by me. I went out on the pier 3 times yesterday and couldn't even force a reaction bite on anchovy or sardines. My partner who has a boat took his SiL and 3 grand kids out and they got 3 keepers from 21" to 27" His eldest GS is currently in 2nd place in the junior division.
Are you entered in the Derby, or just fishin' to fish today? I will be at home trying to finish the cross wrap on my old Shimano.
The piers were using hair raiser jigs
