I have an Ambassaduer 5500C I need a date on please. The foot number is 781103.

The owners father fished with it when they fished together. It cleaned up nicely.

According to your pre-1980 serial number:

78 11 03

It was manufactured in:

November (11)

1978 (78)

I am sure it will, it looks in good nick as it is! Did you throw in some carbontex washers?

Recently did one like this myself. It was in mint condition.

It had tiny pearl handle grips and hard resin-fibre washers.

Looked like it might be good for 2-3 kg line at best.
