Title: late report on Cabo San Jose area fishing.
Post by: speedwagon2 on October 30, 2016, 02:48:20 AM
Hi folks,
I fished one day at the Cabo San Jose area.  I fished on the same boat and crew That Dominick and myself fished on last year in October.  Dominick's schedule was not the same as My wife's; so he missed this trip. Dominick, thank you for the contact info.  I fished on 10/11/16 and was the only customer on the boat. We had eight hook ups and landed six YFT up to about 45 lbs for the biggest.  Two hook ups on the troll, using tuna clone type feathers, and the rest of the hook ups on cut squid bait. Lupe, the boat driver, is the best there is this fleet.  The other boats followed Lupe's boat from one location to another, but did not catch fish.  My phone quit, so no photos.
It was a lot of fun. Tom's Cortez Conversion Jigmaster I built last season caught most of the fish.  It has been a great reel that seems to be a YFT magnet !!.
  Once again, thanks Dominick
