Wife is the best. This is just the fishing bits and not even all of them as I already put the guts that go to them in the parts trays for the builds. It's like grown up Legos.
Thanks to Alan, Randy, Tom, Nick, Black Pearl, Ted, Harry, Mo, Dawn and Lou who all will have DNA in the builds when complete.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to the Ohana!!!!!

Yep, can't complain about a wife like that. 8) 8)
Is that green classic one of Tom's Squidders ?? I like that color :o :o
J.H., found these hangin around the shop! By any chance could you use them? ???
I'm messin with ya Bud. I just finished the reamed holes in the mill. Today was Blue knob day. Don't know why but that's just how it worked out. You, Ted, and sent an email to Bryan but haven't heard from him.
Still more to go but I'm gaining on it. It was insane here last week. My mailbox on the phone was filled 3 times. ;D
Your goodies look great and I know they'll be awesome when done!
Have a great evening, .. Lou

Yessir I love the green. If Tom ever does 6/0 and 9/0 kits I'm bankrupt
Hi Lou,
I'm still in it to win it. You make the call. They look awesome.
Bryan
Lou these are fantastic!

Looks like some quality bench time. Any plans for the International?
Meaning, service, upgrade or use it? Hopefully all three; I'm upgrading the handles and clamps as I go. The 30 and 30 wide are my two most practical users offshore here in NC, so I grab them when I find a good deal, service, spool with straight 50 mono and 20 ft 80lb shock leader and fish them.
You did good John, those are some nice colors.
Thanks, folks! Some progress today: the Johnny Walker Black, 30W's AT handled, 501 with Lou knob and Black Pearl spool, CC / Tib 4/0 with Alan's blade and Black Pearl handle, which has more parts and as many ball bearings as the reel...machining is impeccable. Ted's matching silver clamo on back but you cant see.

Bam!
Some sweet rides there.
You did good John.
My Wife can't afford my Reel Habit. ;)
Thanks, brother. You got a box coming Friday.
Hot Damn!
I made my Reservations the other night to Shark Central.
I can only hope, the Big Black Beauty will bring it home.
If they take the bait, The Godfather will do what it was made for. ;)
Wth is that aluminum foil holding the braces on. I gotta get busy.
That purdy little peerless in the back almost behind the towel makes me think of Dirty Dancing... "Nobody puts baby in the corner!" :D
Keen eye brother. That one lives right there in my sight when I'm in the shop. A post a few weeks back from someone asked for our favorite shelfie, and no less than Fred himself directed me to park it which I was anyway, having many 9's and 10's I actually use. I've a special plinth idea for that one though in general I think a Thorhammer is as close to plinth as I get. Hunting the big brother 209.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and your family, Dan, I'm very happy we got to meet as Ohana this year. We still gonna get another cheesesteak with Sal 🍻
You too sir, a cheesesteak run is always welcome! Sal has this Brandy too that is to die for...Cheesesteak then a brandy in his Den next to the fire?! ;D Oh shoot...I was impolite and invited us over without asking the host :D
No need to ask, you guys are always welcomed! ;)
