Title: Nice Combo

Here's a nice rod and reel I picked up at the pigeon forge show. Anybody care to guess the year for rod and/or the Senator?

Rod is post 1948 (Biscayne Rod Company's first production rods), reel appears  pre 1950ish (if it is nonnumbered, and 3-piece spool?).  Numbered/3-piece spool would be ca. 1950-55.  Otherwise post 1955.

Cool combo.  Sounds like a great show.  Cool you could make it.  Did you see any early Big Game lures?  I know they had alot of cool early freshwater baits.

John, fortunately for me I have never been bitten by the lure collector bug. I would need a 12 step program if that ever happened. I'm sure there were old salt water big game lures amongst the many thousands that were there. I just don't look at that stuff. Sorry.

I believe the guides are Allison. Nice rig.
