Title: Looking to upgrade Daiwa Sealine SLW50H with carbon fiber drags
Post by: Vetting82 on January 16, 2017, 12:50:50 AM
Im looking to upgrade the felt washers on 14 Daiwa Sealine SLW50H reels.

I took measurements and all 3 felt washers are the same.

.95 thickness (kinda hard to measure felt so I assume its 1.0)
35.6 outer
8 mm inner
Total of 3 washers.

How close do the measurements have to be? My micrometer is new so I dont know for sure how accurate it is.
If it is really 35.6 mm outer, can I just use a 35mm punch?

I believe smoothdrags stocks the carbontex kit for this. I did the same upgrade on a customers Saltist 50 last year and I'm 99% sure the washers should be the same.  Try posting on the smoothdrags thread and Dawn should get back to u.

Aloha,
