Great job, Scott --

Those 10/0's are great reels -- narrow 12/0 -- and not made for a few decades now.

You have done a good job on the salt-proofing since this will likley be used in a windy sandbox (Beach) -- or as a troller.

Either way, the key is a lot of grease on any part subject to corrosion -- like you have done -- then an evacuation of all lubricants once a year, if used -- and reapplication of new greases and oils.

It will last a lifetime.

Just like changing the oil in our cars or trucks --

We can use a good synthetic oil -- and change it every 5000 miles...

Or, we can wait until the red low oil light comes on...

What is the difference? -- generally about an extra 150,000 out of the engine.

Nice work!

Best,

Fred

Great job. The 10/0 is a hole in my collection; one of these days.

Guys why are parts and the 10/0 in general
So hard to find and then when you do they cost
A fortune I was just wondering

The 10/0 has been out of production for over 30 years.
Everything on a 12/0 will fit except for the bars, stand and spool.
