Title: Newbie/first post from Riverside, CA
Post by: ldoret94 on April 01, 2017, 09:46:53 PM
Long story but I'm getting back into offshore/3-5 day trips out of San Diego after a thirty year work enforced hiatus.  Looks like a wealth of information is to be had on this forum and trust me, I need the help.

Pete

Hi Pete,

It was great talking with you yesterday. If you are planning to get into fishing again, we have a 5-day trip coming up. You don't even need to bring any rod/reels as we will have loaners in board if you would like to give your hand at fishing different reels before you buy.

Here's the link. http://alantani.com/index.php?board=104.0

I believe we can possibly fit 2 more people. The fishing style is no tag. We all share in the catch, and you only pay for your share of the fish processing. In other words, you pay for what you take. So if you don't want any fish, it leaves it for the rest of us. There will be many experienced long rangers and newbies like me.

If you are interested, please send Alan a PM.

Bryan

yes, we have room for two more.  we may end up at guadalupe, looking at 50 to 120 pound yellowfin.   that could get interesting.   ;D

It would be great if I can make this happen.  Talk about a crash course from a very knowledgeable crew!  Only thing stopping me from pulling the trigger toady is I'm waiting to hear when the two oldest grandsons are coming to visit this summer.

we still have room for two.  the nice thing about this trip is that we share the catch.  this way there is no competition and it's more relaxed.
