Title: Mega sized casting reel handles
Post by: Whit on April 22, 2017, 02:45:35 AM
Lately I've started to see more casting reels come out with the huge knobs on them - much bigger than the hawg handles.

Now I see that a major auction site offers several variations of just the handle, including one that has ball bearings in the handle knobs.  These look super comfortable...and apparently fit the old school Abus and Millionaires.

Has anyone tried these and willing to share any observations?

Thanks

Whit

2 things....You get what you pay for and most require a little modification. I thought the 45 mm would be too big for the jigmaster size but after using it awhile I like it, even have a 47mm I'm starting to like.  As far as handle length I believe as Mr. Sal stated 3/4" longer than stock is long enough.
There are some really nice ones on sale here.
