Never seen one like it. The amount of work that must have gone into making these is pretty remarkable.

It really is a nice reel. I was glad to have had the opportunity to see it and show it to others and I am also glad to have found it a new home with someone who already owns another one in poor cosmetic condition.
He said that he has some old German reel books where the reels are mentioned but apparently their isn't a lot of information there either.
