Title: Penn 955 disc clutch springs
Post by: kdkr38 on May 18, 2011, 12:25:20 AM
I have two Penn 955's and each had their disc clutch springs installed differently. The diagram is not very clear. Does anyone know the orientation of these Belleville washer washers. Stacked, face to face, etc? Thanks

bellevilles are typically stacked in a "()" configuration to take advantage of their compressibility.

This configuration is the only way that they act like a spring and compress the drag slowly with increasing pressure.  Just the way you want it!!!
