Title: TD zillion drag question
Post by: Vjtrey1 on June 19, 2017, 10:24:39 PM
Hi,

I just replace the drag washer of my TD zillion with carbontex but for some reason the max drag that I could get was only lessthan 5lbs with the new drag washer. Can you guys help me if what would be the possible problem? I used cals grease on it. Thank you

Try wiping all the grease off by rubbing the Carbontex washer back and forth on a towel. The reinstall.

It will still be greased.

maybe the new CF is thinner than the original & the star "bottoms out" before max is reached

I think the CF is thinner. What should I do to fix it then?

I use a factory shim on top of the clutch bearing inner tube. The shim is the same size as the inner tube.

You could also use a shim or thin washer on top of the last metal drag washer if the inner sleeve does not lock into that metal washer.
