Title: Penn reel thread size?
Post by: Gfish on June 29, 2017, 12:32:34 AM
Tried a temporary repair ona '60's jigmaster 'till I could get the right eccentric screw. Seems to be thread-sized inbetween SAE coarse and fine with fine being closer. Anyone know what the size is and best place to source one without ordering it?

It costs $1.65 at MysticParts. If you look elsewhere for 5 minutes it's costing you more than ordering it from them.

It's all I need for now, so factor in shipping, $5+, and down reel time, while waiting( on left coast, California now). So does anyone know the size?

Shipping from JDL is a little cheaper & cheaper for a used part. Penn uses some rare almost unobtainable thread sizes. Better off getting the original screw before you bugger up the threads  & have to get an eccentric as well. For the time being just use another reel.        Rudy

Hey Gfish, I've got one for you, PM me your address. A 23-180 also fits here, that's what I can send you. It fits my Jigmasters. Rudy, I may have an eccentric for you, too.

Thanks anyway Sid but I don't need an eccentric. I was just telling gfish that if he tries to use the wrong screw thread he will just bugger up the eccentric.    R

Sorry Rudy, I obviously misread.
