Title: TLD30II dog
Post by: Fishy247 on July 04, 2017, 07:25:34 PM
Does anyone know of a way to dampen or quiet down the sound of the AR dog on a TLD? Kinda a strange question, but the volume of the dog clicking when I'm reeling in is maddening! Otherwise, great reel...Any ideas?

Thanks,
Mike

Grease or a softer spring

Brian's right: grease or a softer spring will quiet the dog a bit; however, the reliability of the anti-reverse may be compromised. Think of the sound as an anti-reverse reliability call.

I hadn't thought of a softer spring...I'll try the grease first though. Thanks for the ideas!
