Title: Are Penn reels sold in Australia different from reels in U.S?
Post by: FatTuna on August 12, 2017, 06:16:52 AM
Anyone know if Penn reels sold in Australia are the same as the reels we have in the U.S? Specifically the International VSX.

Looking to buy a few new reels but want to make sure they won't have parts that are impossible to find. Thanks

If it is the same model number as a USA, it's the same reel.

It's the models that are only made for overseas release that you can't get parts for here in the U.S....watch the model numbers.

I wish we could get the parts...we get so many requests.

Ended up finding a pretty good deal on some Penn International VSX reels here in the U.S. $799 each shipped. Got the silver ones!

The deal in Australia is still there in case anyone is looking. It's through a seller on Ebay, just search. I believe he has 6 left. I think the price is good because of the exchange rate and the new Internationals are coming out. I was going to wait for another 10% Ebay bucks promo to buy them but he only had gold ones left. With the promo, the price is about the same.
