Do any of you have experience buying gear from overseas? Specifically, have you had to pay Import duties, taxes and charges on top of the shipping charges? I am wanting to buy a reel sold from Japan on eBay but have never done this before.

I have purchased tackle from Japan, China, and Malaysia...no taxes, VAT, tariffs, import duties, nada.

This is USA based . Some Euro countries get all kinds of fees and customs to pay.
