Hi All, I'm looking for some comments on this rainbow multi-color pearl acrylic.
Extremely difficult to photograph.
A customer is going to put it on a full black Avet. This is not an in your face color but a multi toned, very rich, deep, pearl. Very classy looking IMO.
Its not completed yet and sometimes seeing it on the reel can make all the difference in the world.
Will try to repost again when its all together but thought I'd solicit some opinions in the meantime and see what you think?
Thanks and have a great evening, .. Lou
Looks great. On black with minimal chrome, like an elegant car or a fine tuxedo.
Well done again.

Beautiful Lou! It looks like mother of pearl.
I agree it is really beautiful. Dominick
Lou, as in all matters of taste, some are going to like this, some are not. I wouldn't make many important decisions based on the results of this informal survey.... there's not a right or wrong answer....
Gorgeous, Lou --
As usual, a piece of art.
If that photo is somewhat accurate as to the Mother of Pearl effect -- any frame/plate color combo would look good except for silver, IMO (and that would look good also, if all silver with no black or red plates).
With the blush swirls of light blue and pink in there -- it would look great on an ice blue build, or pink.
Best,
Fred
Yep, pink reel. Wait til Aiala sees it. You'll reel her right in. Dominick
Lou,
In my opinion that knob would be the highlight of any reel it was put on! But, I see blue (ice blue especially) , red (or pink?), or a blacked out reel really "popping" with that handle....only one I'm not sure about until I see one, is silver.
Also, now that I think about it, and "mother of pearl", might set off a green reel to perfection!!!
Just my "newbie" 2 cents worth!!!
Awesome either way!
Brett
That's exquisite. It'll look really sharp on a black reel (or any reel). Aesthetically, it has a sort of cosmic quality. In your photos it looks like a cylinder of stars, nebulas and galaxies suspended in deep space. A miniature alternate universe sized to fit in the palm of one's hand. At least that's how I see it.
Pearls go with anything~ says the wife...
Be interesting to see how that actually gets applied, technique-wise.
Lovely opalescent colour - I like it :)
Nice color, might look good with every colors of the rainbow.

Thank you all for the comments and they are truly appreciated. I totally understand that beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
That being said, it is nice to get the general consensus. With so many colors in the rainbow, one would quickly end up in the poorhouse trying to keep up with all the material colors available!
On the most popular colors, I do try to keep some in stock. Certain colors are a one time deal and if you don't jump on them when available, your out of luck.
A typical material order is at least $500. and more likely upwards of $750. or more.
The knob's are Custom and high quality, plus unique and usually take the project to the next level.
Again, thanks' for all the valued input, .. Lou
Lou,
Just curious....what where your thoughts on this knob color? I mean if you were putting it on your personal reel?
Brett
Hey Brett, I'm not sure yet but as soon as I finish it I'll try it on a couple different reels and post it up. Its a new color!
In the link enclosed, there is a silver white/ black pearl (middle rear) that goes nicely with a bunch of reels and also to the right a blue black/silver pearl the also pops.
Some of them ya just have to see on a reel! But, I have had customers pick colors that I thought were a horrible match and they end up looking great with a reel color that would have never been my choice. The colors are so unique, I really haven't had one yet that I truly disliked.
Time to get back to work, have a great day, .. Lou

The white pearl color is very conservative and classy. I could see it on a "black tie" reel color scheme --- mostly black or dark blue with just a touch of silver, and the pearl knob as the jewel.
"Vodka martini, shaken, not stirred."
What else could it be Miss Moneypenney ;D
That is going to look awesome against a black Avet
