Title: Penn Squall 12 Tension Knob reinstall, 3 parts plus the Knob?
Post by: Oinc on October 04, 2017, 10:18:48 PM
I have a Penn Squall 12 reel, someone messed with the tension knob, twisting it, until it fell off, joy.

I put back 3 parts, the Clicker Plate Inner, the Clicker Spring, the Clicker Plate Outer; screwed the tension knob on.

How do I check on the Washer Metal Thrust,  Washer Rubber Thrust? Is there a way to check these two are installed correctly, I couldn't find them, nor could I see them.

Link, Penn seems to only have the Squall 15 schematic online, but the 12 and 15 seem to be about the same.

Is there a YouTube on how to service this area? I am assuming at some point it will need reoiled. Looks like it's lightly greased

if you can get the proper tension on the spool, you should be ok!
