Title: Winchester mini multi-fishing tool
Post by: festus on October 21, 2017, 04:52:32 PM
I found one of these a few weeks ago for 5 bucks, usually they sell for about $12 to $16.  It came with a black nylon leather sheath that will mount on your belt.

It will do for smalllish repairs, the Phillips screwdriver head is too little, it could also use a larger flat head screwdriver, plus the pliers will not cut fishing line, but the tiny knife blade barely will.

Better off spending an extra 10 or 15 bucks for a good one.  But I still got a bargain for $5.

Hmmm, that reminds me that I have one that Buck made, somewhere?

I forgot all about it. Thanks for the memory jog.

For a multi tool I still turn to my Leatherman Wave.
I did have a look at their wrist tool - very functional and convenient - but the price OUCH :o

     That was a pretty good buy. I have several "multi-tools"scattered around..in various glove compartments, tackle boxes, etc., and if you need them, they are pretty handy....they sure beat "nothing", in a pinch !

Yes, it is really compact and really handy. l'd buy a couple more for what I payed for this one.

Looks like I need a new engineer's scale.  ::)
