Title: Handle mod?
Post by: Scattergun2570 on November 07, 2017, 11:41:41 PM
I am curious,is it possible to drill out a riveted handle and replace it with something larger? Has anyone done this on the board? I'd like to do some stuff to my Daiwa Advantage 4000A spinning reel..it's being retired, pretty much,,but as a learning project..I plan to tear it down,,service, maybe new bearings who knows..but a bigger handle knob was always something I wish it had.

on conventional reels, i always go for larger handle grips.  maybe it's just the way i fish, but for spinners, it's never seemed to matter.

I ran into something on Fleabay..Gomexus Handles..anyone familiar with these? They seem to be what I am looking for.

Yep I've got a couple of Gomexus knobs - They seem to be quite well made - Haven't fitted them yet. I think Keith (Handi) has some experience with these knobs.
