Title: penn 25n star drag stripped eccentric
Post by: teffy on February 14, 2018, 12:16:20 AM
While hung on a recent trip i stripped the eccentric on my 25n. This is the second time this has happened on this reel. Was there ever an aftermarket or factory solution to this issue?

The original eccentric pin is short. The new ones were re-designed and are longer.

Don't force the eccentric.  Roll the spool back with your thumb when throwing the lever. It's a 'feature' of the live-spool.

I never got used to that feature when I had my FTH40 star
