You reccomended a jigmaster narrow spool.\ for kayak fishing, but I forgot the model, would you tell me?

I think Alan said the narrow would hold about 100 yds of 30# that one looks like it'll hold more.
I saw quite a few 500 & 501s online but they didn't look like the narrow jigmaster.

The 501 is the narrow version of the 500 and should hold 190-200 yards of 30 pound, 290-300 yards of 20 pound. Flip back and forth between these two links and you'll see the difference.

Mike, you will notice that the jigmaster 501 is costly. If you do need to have a jigmaster that is about 3/8" narrower than the standard 500 jigmaster, I recommend that you buy a standard 500 and get yourself a used narrow frame and spool, the only thing that would be missing is the 501 stamped on the side plate, you would also have spare parts in case you need more line. Loading it with 30lb is as high as you can go on that reel, I recommend 20 lb, you'll gaing an additional 100 yds. of line and you are not at its max capacity

And a narrower stand. It's a bit of a challenge otherwise. ;D
You're right Rob, but that's only if you buy frame posts. I'm seeing many used accurate and tiburon narrow frames for around $40 on ebay, a new frame is only $60, a narrow spool is around $25, these kits do not need a stand. You could spend close to $200 for a 501 in excellent condition, the 500 is usually around $60 in the same condition. You might get lucky and find a 501 used at a reasonable price and maybe it won't need any parts to be replaced :-\.
wow! didn't realize that it would hold that much line. the 501 is a great reel. one of the guys on saturday had one!
