Title: Penn 80 STW Assembly
Post by: gary999 on April 09, 2018, 01:17:59 AM
Is there a proper procedure to get the spool back in so the dogs in the side plate are inside the ratcheted ring? At least I think this is my problem. When I start putting the right side plate on it locks up the spool. These are the coil springs. I would have issues on my 50's but they seemed easier to seat.

Thanks!

Turn the handle dummy! >:(

Went right in. I just got his reel yesterday. Someone had recently had it serviced so there was not much to do. It is an 8.5/10 at least. Tomorrow I am picking up 2 more 80STW's I got from a gentleman in NY. They were used in June, July and part of August in 1997. That's it. Looking forward to getting into them.
