Title: Calcutta D 401 bearing dimensions
Post by: Jes301 on April 27, 2018, 09:02:22 PM
Trying to figure out the dimensions for the Calcutta D 401 ball bearings. I'm trying to upgrade the bearings on the  spool and tension knob.

IIRC the Calcuttas 400 and 200 have  2 of 3x10x4 and the one pinned to the spool is 5x11x4.
Anyone confirm?
cheers
Steve

That plastic washer that pinned to the spool is what you talking about?

Yes replace the plastic bushing with a bearing. There is a bushing under the gear sleeve. It can't be replaced without modifying it to fit a bearing. I reamed the hole to 8mm and installed a bearing. I also added a power handle.
