Title: soaking parts
Post by: Handcrafters on August 07, 2011, 02:39:51 AM
What would you recomend in the way of a parts cleaning pan to soak and clean parts.  Years ago I used an old pan from my days of cleaning carbs and some Kerosene.  Are the sonic cleaners capable of handling the job.  Spray cans and brass brushes are just too messy...Lynn ( Handcrafters)

for soaking i use a tupperware container and a stainless steel collender. i soak over night in wd-40 the sludge goes to the bottom and the parts dont get lost.

I believe Alan tried an ultrasonic cleaner with less than stellar results.
