Tackle direct is having a sale on cutters and crimpers at 10.99 for the pair of them. Its about 2/3 rd off the regular price. They are Billfisher brand and they also have a 7 1/2 hard wire cutter for $6.99.
Economy shipping is $3.99. I doubt they would stand up as well as commercial quality but for occasional use or a backup, they should be fine.
All have a great evening, .. Lou

i have three of the earlier version of the crimpers and they do well for me, I think Daron has them too. cant beat that price for certain. the ones I keep in tackle bag for offshore, I saturate a rag in Corrosion X to wrap in, and keep them wrapped in the plano box.
Mine are sea strikers, but they have a cable cutter built in.
I finally wore these out after about 5 years and bought another set just like them.

Received the cutters and crimper the other day and was pleasantly surprised. Pretty decent stuff considering $10.99 for the pair.
I did remove them from the packaging and did a couple of leader crimps and tested the cutters too.
The thru wire on my homemade plugs is just under 1/16" in diameter and it cut the SS with no problem at all. I did several pcs and saw no marking on the jaws.
For $10.99 and under $4. for shipping, its a winner.
All have a great day, .. Lou

Same ones I use Daron. No problems here. I would like a backup though, should have jumped on that.
My Sea Strikers have stood the test.
I bet I have crimped over 1000 2.2 and 1.6 crimps with these and the holes eventually wallowed out a little.
If I Don't bring the bolt cutters to the beach, I bring these. They will cut 480 lb cable or any tooth proof wire like butter.

I also use the CH-10 crimpers. I had an old pair where the nut cracked. I wrote to Sea Striker asking if they could source a nut as it was an odd size. I made sure they knew it was an old item. They sent me a new pair!
Great customer service. I'll miss the cushion the old pair had on the handles but I'm glad to get a new pair.

You can still jump on them... the discount is still running.

PS- thanks for the heads up, Lou!
Thanks Lou. ;)
