Title: Avet LX 6/3 2spd Belleville Washer question
Post by: Lumberjack93 on August 08, 2011, 02:44:29 AM
I took my Avet 6/3 2spd reel today and did a thorough cleaning job.

Anyway, I notice that my reel has 6 Belleville washers in the following orientation -   ))))))

The Schematic:  http://www.avetreels.com/pdf/LX6-3-2spd.pdf (http://www.avetreels.com/pdf/LX6-3-2spd.pdf)

shows only 4 belleville washers in the following orientation -   ()()

Has anyone experienced this before?  Also, can someone post the link to the post which shows bellevelle washer adjustments?

I remember a long time ago seeing a post showing how to increase and decrease drag settings by changing the bellevelle washer orientations.

ie,  ((((    ((()   (())  ()()  ))((   etc.

I searched this forum but couldn't find the post.

Many thanks.

try ()(()) first.  you should get 15 pounds of drag at strike and some side load.  that's about the best you can do.  alan
