Title: Everol Cairns 12/0 Single Speed Blue Drag Plate parts
Post by: Qbdss on July 20, 2018, 02:49:07 PM
Hi all,
I have a new to me Everol Cairns 12/0 Single Speed with a blue drag plate that needs parts.  My questions are....
1.  Are the parts diagram for the Special Series the same as the Cairns?
2.  Does anyone work on them, or has parts?  Specifically the bearings and an internal locking clip?
3.  If there are no parts, is there a list of bearings for other reels that will fit?
Everol USA has been less than helpful.
Thanks in advance.
David

First off, Welcome David!
The Older Everol's are a bit different from the newer series.
There are several tutorials on here.
Take some pictures so it is very clear the parts that you need and contact Everol Italy.(PM Sent)
They will be more than happy to help you.
I have been looking for one of those Cairns Models, but haven't found one to my liking yet,
Daron

Thanks for the reply.  Was able to get in touch with the Everol USA rep and parts are ordered.  Apparently the schematics and part numbers for the current Special Series is the same as the Cairns models.

Will do.  Rep said 2-3 weeks for parts to arrive.  Said I was fortunate in my timing in that he was placing an order Monday (in 2 days), with orders typically being placed once every 6-8 weeks.

Here is a very detailed tutorial on a 12/0 that Redsetta did a while back.
