Hi, I need the following parts for a 2009 Stella 5000SW:
RD12343 Bail Arm Must have
RD12345 Set Screw
RD11660 Roller Clutch Water Proof
These parts are not available here in Australia.
They may be available in the USA but I might need help with shipping to Australia.
Can anyone help please?
Regards,
Brett
This is the problem:
The set screw was seized so tight that the bail arm that the hex bit sheared off inside.
If I could extract the bit at least I would have the option of drilling out the set screw.

Only thing I could think of Brett would be to get a socket of the right size, grind it off perfectly square on the end and try and get that piece of key to turn clockwise and perhaps loosen up enough to get a strong magnet to fish it out. Is there enough left to get a ground off socket on?
When I run into these issues — the most successful remedy has been a GOOD pair of Vise-Grips with a flat and well meshing grabber tip.
If there is enough meat left on that hex bit — just get the vise grips on it solidly — it should loose enough to get it off. Then the screw can be drilled and extracted.
We have all been here.
It just takes a careful approach with the right tool.
Believe it or not, these 10" locking wrench vise grips on the right have the flat and best meshing grip for small bits.
Also, the tiny pair of ignition channel lockers on top right is invaluable for many, many reel jobs. It is a Craftsman bought on sale for about $5 around 20 years ago. And has proven its worth hundreds of times over.
If you don't already have it out — good luck, and keep us posted.
Best,
Fred
Thanks for the replies guys but there is nothing at all to latch onto.
I used some Dremel diamond bits to grind the locking screw out but now the support post screw is also seized so I am back to square one.
Looks like I will have to make a lateral cut through the roller and support post to have any chance of disassembly but if I cannot get parts, I will just have to leave it as is.
I have now updated my parts list in my original post.

I guess you have tried direct heat and tightening on that screw to crack it?

There is no turning back should you melt plastic bushes and some spares are still in question.
