Title: Nicks/Paint loss on spool edges..

Has anyone had any luck dealing with deep Nicks on the spool edges of spinning reels?   Any tips/advice would be great.  Thanks, Joe.

Emery board to smooth the edges of them and then just live with it. If they have a burr or vaguely sharp edge they will trash braid in no time.
