Title: Realistic price for a Penn 115
Post by: kmstorm64 on September 07, 2018, 03:33:50 PM
I came across a Penn 115, owner is asking $85. It has a chrome spool with the some corrosion on it.  Is that a fair price?

As long as the rest of the reel is in good shape and all the parts are there. Yes.

Thanks, now I only have to make a 4 hour round trip to get to it.  Ugggh!

OUCH!!  For me, that would be about an extra $80 for just the gas, round trip!  If I took my wife's car, gas would be about half that.  I'd pay for in-region shipping via US mail, even if it was a scenic drive.

Unless there is another reason for the drive, like talking the wife into a pleasant 4-hour "Sunday drive" for a dinner, and back.  LOL!  But that could drive the hidden costs up too!
