I'm putting together my Christmas wish list and figured I'd ask for a new reel, why not right????

Help me decide between a Fathom 25 or 30 two speed???????????????

Uses will be bait fishing and yo-yo/flat fall jigging for tuna and yellowtail......Most likely get spooled with 65# braid

Since the 30 is just a wider 25 I'd go with the FTH25NLD2. These reels are great 40 lb test reels and could do 50 in a pinch. I like smaller reels and since your braid backing I don't see a need for the wider 30. For me I'd back the reel with 50 lb braid and top it off with 40 lb mono. If you want to fish 50-60 and can do 80 in a pinch toppers I'd look at the Fathom 40n two speed.
