Title: CC 9/0's
Post by: thorhammer on February 24, 2019, 03:44:27 PM
Nice reels...100lb PP braid with 80 mono topshot; that's how I had spooled the stock donor reels. When I get around to it, these reels will 130lb braid backing and 130 mono topshot. They are beasts. Steel gears and SS sleeves with new SS and carbontex wet drags the way the Boss says, Corrosion X in the bearings and Penn blue on internal surfaces. Need to get SS dawgs and see if Adam has stars for these. The Tib handles feel great on these...both are the original Area Rule design that are much heavier duty than the current Tib offering.

Thanks for sharing your skills and almost finished 9's, John.

They look very capable the way you have them set up.

Not too much out there swimming — that these would not bring to the rail.

Best,

Fred

Looking good john! You are right about those handles, really heavy duty stuff.
