Title: Stripped star wheel ambassadeur 4601
Post by: orsteelheader on February 28, 2019, 01:41:30 AM
It seems one of the ebay treasures I've recently picked up has a more problematic star wheel threading issue than I imagined. I've tried to thread it on a different drive shaft as well as threading a good star wheel on the offending drive shaft. The threads on both pieces from the 4601 seem to be chowdered beyond use. Would most other left-hand retrieve 4-6000 Ambassadeur star wheels be interchangeable? The bad one has 5 straight arms and round tips (reel seat # 60007). I've ordered a replacement drive shaft but can't find this specific star wheel anywhere.

Thanks Mike!

I don't know how I missed that. I looked through this site, probably using only the part # from the schematic. It looks right...
