Title: Penn 50TW- losing clicker when drag at strike
Post by: Ralph165 on June 26, 2019, 06:52:50 PM
The clicker works fine in free, but when you apply the drag, the clicker works when your reel, but not when line is pulled against the drag.

I opened the right side and cleaned everything up. I did notice the bellviles where not ()() so i reset them that way. I did not see a thrust washer. This seemed to help slightly, but at strike is the clicker is barely audible and at full non-existent.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Your click plate might be worn enough not to make contact with the click tongue when you raise the lever. Or the click tongue might be worn. The only thing I can think of immediately.
