Just bought a Abu Garcia 1000 today for $15.00, fixing to tear into it an clean it.

Should be good for you Dan, have you restored, many reels before, if not, take digital photos as you go, then refer back to them as you place it together, good luck, will be a nice reel when your finished it, cheers Don. what line are you going to place on it.
