Title: Penn age
Post by: coastalobsession on November 06, 2011, 04:01:11 AM
I read a post about the age of a penn by its color. Where would a orange marble handle fall into in the age scale???

Coastalobsession, what you're asking is not esy to answer. You will not be able to find any info on that handle that would pinpoint the exact year that it was made. I do have a reel with that color handle that came in the box from their silver anniversary.  My best guess would be the late 50's. Unfortunately, there is a good chance that your handle might not be original to the reel, I see a lot of Penn reels with mismatched parts :(.

Thanks the reel is a 209 penn peer. If the age is correct it was my great grandpas or grandpas.
